Law Degree and Admission to the Bar

​While completing my LLB as a mature student, I was surprised to see my maths skills transferred to law, winning the Raymond Donelly Prize for First in Criminal Law and the John Burrows Prize for First in Media Law at the University of Canterbury.​

Following completion of my Law degree, I completed my Professional Legal Studies ("Profs") and obtained a certificate of character from the NZ Law Society, which enabled my 2024 admission to the NZ Bar. More formally, I am an "enrolled Barister and Solicitor of the High Court". â€‹â€‹

  • Margaret Morton Memorial Prize - Top female student in Discrete Mathematics at the University of Auckland.

  • NCEA scholarship in Calculus, Statistics, Physics, French, and  Economics.

  • Shortlisted for all three of the Girdlers' Scholarship to Cambridge, the Sir Douglas Myers Scholarships to Cambridge, and the Julian Robertson Scholarship to Duke. â€‹â€‹

​Maths Competition Highlights:

  • 2-time member of the New Zealand IMO team. 

  • Featured in the TVNZ Documentary "The Other Olympiad", about the  2004 NZIMO team.

  • 117th in the Putman Math Competition as a freshman.

  • Selected to represent Princeton University at the 2007 International Math Competition (IMC) as a freshman - the only female to make the team.
